South Park Bascule Bridge

The South Park Bridge, also known as the 14th/16th Avenue South Bridge, is a double-leaf bascule bridge located in Seattle, Washington. Officially opened in 2014, it replaced a historic bascule bridge originally constructed in 1931, which was recognized on the National Register of Historic Places.

Managed by the King County government, this bridge serves as an important transportation route, facilitating automobile traffic over the Duwamish River near Boeing Field, just beyond Seattle's city limits. The name of the bridge reflects its proximity to the South Park neighborhood, highlighting both its geographical and community significance.
