Tempe Town Lake Pedestrian Bridge

This suspension bridge, with its striking blue illumination at night, serves as a crucial connection between the north and south shores of Tempe Town Lake. Designed for both pedestrians and bicyclists, it enhances the accessibility to the Tempe Center for the Arts, promoting a vibrant community atmosphere. The combination of functionality and aesthetic appeal makes it a significant landmark in the area, adding to the overall experience of the lakefront environment.

The bridge features four spans, each measuring 228 feet in length and weighing approximately 165,000 pounds. With a width of 12 feet and a height of 34 feet, it presents a substantial structure. The arches of the bridge are supported by 32 metal cables, while a total of 128 steel cables criss-cross to contribute to its unique architectural design.
